What is Student Council? Student Council is a volunteer organization. Student Council Represenatives volunteer their time to make their school and community a better place. Council members provide services such as supporting Hornedo atheletes, hosting a student dance, assisting with Parent/Teacher conferencs, promoting energy conservation, cleaning up trash on campus, and coordinating school and community events. Volunteerism is a responsible of each member. Each member will be expected to attend at least 9 meetings during the Fall Semester and at least 9 meetings during the Spring Semester. Students who acheive these goals will be recognized. The message for Student Council is clear: Take pride in your school and get involved!
MEMBER EXPECTATIONS: 1. Parent permission is required for the student to begin participation is Student Council. No attendance or volunteer hours will be counted without signed and received parent consent. Please see electronic form below. 2. Regularly attend meetings. Attendance is taken. Sign-in sheets are picked up 10 minutes after the meeting begins. 3. Volunteer by participating in Trash Busters, Watt Watchers, Recycling, etc. 4. Come to each meeting ready to help your school.
